An aspirant for the House of Representatives seat in Idah Federal Constituency, Hon. Ogah Okpanachi Mark, has commended the Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his firm stance on internal democracy and his clear opposition to candidate imposition within the ruling party.

In a statement released in Abuja, Ogah described the governor’s position as “clear, courageous, and statesmanlike,” noting that it has reignited hope among aspirants and constituents who are eager for a transparent, inclusive, and credible electoral process.

According to him, the assurance of fairness within the party structure strengthens confidence among stakeholders and provides the people of Idah Federal Constituency with a genuine opportunity to freely choose their representatives without undue interference.

Ogah, who hails from Idah and maintains strong grassroots connections across Ibaji and Ofu Local Government Areas, emphasized that his political aspiration is firmly anchored on years of community engagement, accessibility, and service. He noted that his growing acceptance across the constituency is not incidental, but a reflection of sustained relationships and commitment to the people.

He further stressed that empowering the electorate to make independent choices remains the cornerstone of credible leadership, adding that “when the people are allowed to decide, they will always choose progress, competence, and capacity.”

Reaffirming his alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ogah pledged unwavering support for the administration’s vision for national development. He also reiterated his commitment to working in synergy with Governor Ododo’s developmental blueprint, particularly in fostering inclusive governance and sustainable growth in Kogi State.

Highlighting the urgent need for effective representation, Ogah lamented what he described as years of inadequate leadership in Idah Federal Constituency. He assured constituents of his readiness to collaborate with critical stakeholders to reposition the area and deliver purposeful, people-oriented representation if entrusted with the mandate.

He concluded by expressing deep appreciation to Governor Ododo for “standing firmly on the side of justice, fairness, and democracy,” while voicing optimism that such leadership will usher in a new era of participatory governance and people-driven politics in Kogi State.
