ANYIGBA — The political atmosphere of Kogi East was jolted on Tuesday as Q.S Aminu Abubakar Suleiman stormed the grassroots with the official inauguration of a powerful Youth Mobilization Team, signaling what observers now describe as the emergence of a fully activated political movement with deep electoral reach across all nine local government areas.

The high-stakes event, held at Wisdom Home Hotel, Anyigba, drew a large coalition of political actors, youth structures, women groups, and party mobilizers under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in what many described as a clear demonstration of growing political momentum.

The ceremony was chaired by the Director General of the campaign, Hon. Zekeri Ohiemi Shaibu, who represented the aspirant and delivered a firm message of structured political engagement. The event was coordinated by Hon. Ahmed Attah, convener of the Youth Mobilization Team, who was instrumental in activating the grassroots command structure.

In a decisive move that underscored the seriousness of the campaign, appointment letters were officially presented to youth coordinators across all nine local government areas. The presentation was jointly carried out by the Director General and the convener, formally activating what insiders described as a disciplined and coordinated grassroots political machinery.

The event witnessed strong participation from key political actors including the Idah Local Government ADC Chairman, Mr. Usman Ibrahim (Minister), Hon. Abubakar Kamar Olachene, Dansebe Ibrahim, alongside campaign coordinators from Idah, Dekina, Ibaji, Ankpa, Olamaboro, Omala, Ofu, Igalamela/Odolu, and Bassa.

A wide array of political influencers and grassroots mobilizers also graced the occasion, including Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim (Big Dan), Mr. Julius Isah, Mr. Kashim Mohammed, Matthew Ibrahim (Orlando), Mrs. Mariam Baba, Aisha Ibrahim, Ademu James, and others, reflecting a rapidly expanding political coalition.

Each of the nine local government areas was fully represented by structured delegate blocs, reinforcing what campaign insiders described as a highly coordinated and strategically engineered grassroots network.

In his hard-hitting welcome address, Hon. Abubakar Kamar Olachene laid out the mission, vision, and objectives of the Youth Mobilization Team, positioning it as a political force designed to reshape electoral engagement in Kogi East.

He stated that the mission is to build a disciplined, aggressive, and politically awakened youth structure capable of penetrating every ward and community.

The vision, he declared, is to consolidate a united youth front across Kogi East that will not only participate in politics but actively influence outcomes through informed political engagement.

The objectives include large-scale grassroots mobilization, voter enlightenment, political sensitization, dismantling misinformation, strengthening youth political consciousness, and consolidating support for credible leadership.

In a strongly worded political warning, Olachene cautioned youths against individuals who disguise as philanthropists to manipulate public opinion, stressing that material inducement is not a substitute for competence or leadership capacity.

He urged youths to critically evaluate political actors and resist emotional or financial manipulation, insisting that governance requires intellect, discipline, and proven capacity.

He firmly declared that Q.S Aminu Abubakar Suleiman remains the most viable option, describing him as a technocrat with the intellectual strength, administrative discipline, and leadership credibility required for effective representation at the National Assembly.

Speaking on behalf of the aspirant, the Director General, Hon. Zekeri Ohiemi Shaibu, described the mobilization as a strategic political offensive rooted in structure, discipline, and grassroots penetration.

He charged coordinators to intensify outreach, dominate community engagement, and ensure that the campaign message of competence and transformation reaches every polling unit without exception.

The convener, Hon. Ahmed Attah, described the inauguration as the beginning of a new political reality in Kogi East, noting that the structure is designed to operate as a coordinated grassroots engine with the capacity to influence electoral dynamics across the district.

Political observers note that the development marks a significant escalation in political organization within Kogi East, with the campaign now transitioning into full-scale grassroots consolidation.

The movement, they say, is increasingly positioning itself around themes of competence, structure, and political dominance through sustained youth engagement and coordinated mobilization.
