The 25-year-old attacker said an emotional farewell to Bournemouth on Sunday by scoring the winning goal in their league victory over Tottenham Hotspur, a moment widely viewed as a fitting send-off ahead of his switch to Manchester.

Semenyo’s move represents a major statement by Manchester City as the club continues to reinforce its attacking options ahead of the upcoming season.

All paperwork is understood to be in place, with only routine medical procedures left before the deal is officially announced.

Manchester City are expected to unveil the forward in the coming days once medicals are completed and contractual formalities concluded.
