Yul Edochie: Why I Don’t Post My Kids with May Online

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has addressed ongoing rumors suggesting he is estranged from the children he shares with his first wife, May Edochie, clarifying that he maintains a close and active relationship with them despite public speculation.

Speaking amid heightened public interest in his family life, the actor explained that his decision not to frequently post photos or videos of his children with May on social media should not be mistaken for distance or neglect. According to him, the choice is intentional and rooted in privacy concerns rather than personal conflict.

Yul noted that not every aspect of his life needs to be displayed online, adding that he prefers to keep certain family matters away from the public eye to protect his children.

The clarification comes as he and May remain involved in an ongoing legal process to formally dissolve their marriage.

The couple’s marital issues first drew widespread attention in April 2022 when Yul publicly introduced actress Judy Austin as his second wife, a move that sparked significant reactions across social media and within the entertainment industry.

In 2023, May filed for divorce, citing adultery and seeking N100 million in damages.

Despite the legal battle and public scrutiny surrounding their separation, Yul insists that his bond with his children remains strong, stressing that his role as a father has not changed.
