Suspected kidnappers have abducted a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), his wife, and another individual in the Odo-Eri area of Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The Bureau News gathered that the incident occurred on Wednesday, April 22, sparking fresh concerns over rising insecurity in the region.
Victim Injured During Attack
Sources revealed that one of the victims sustained injuries during the attack and is currently receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed facility.
The identities of the abducted individuals have not yet been officially disclosed as of the time of filing this report.
Police Launch Rescue Operation
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Kogi State Police Command, ASP Saliu Oyiza Afusat, said security operatives have been deployed to the area.
She noted that efforts are ongoing to rescue the victims and apprehend those responsible for the attack.
