NUJ Kebbi Condoles Gov Idris, Assembly, Zuru Emirate Over Death of Speaker – The Bureau News | Nigeria News Today

Birnin Kebbi — The Bureau News reports that the Kebbi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has expressed deep condolences to Governor Nasir Idris, members of the State House of Assembly, the Zuru Emirate, and the people of Kebbi State over the death of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru.
The council described the passing of the Speaker as shocking, especially at a time when his services were still greatly needed in the state.

In a statement jointly signed by the Council Chairman, Bello Abubakar Sarki, and the Secretary, Ismail Adebayo, the NUJ noted that the late Speaker left indelible marks in the discharge of his legislative responsibilities.
The union highlighted his contributions to governance, particularly his role in fostering a peaceful and productive relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government in Kebbi State.
“He will be remembered for the cordial working relationship between the executive and legislative arms, as well as his meaningful legislation that positively impacted the lives of the people,” the statement noted.

The NUJ emphasized that the late Speaker’s leadership and commitment to duty contributed significantly to the progress recorded in the state’s legislative processes.
The council prayed for Allah to grant his family, the Kebbi State Government, and the people of the state the fortitude to bear the loss.
It also prayed for the forgiveness of his shortcomings and for his admission into Aljannah Firdaus.
The Bureau News reports that tributes have continued to pour in from across the state, reflecting the impact of the late Speaker’s life and service.
