Speaking in Birnin Kebbi, the State NLC Chairman, Comrade Murtala Usman, said organised labour in Kebbi State remains satisfied with the remarkable progress made in safeguarding lives and property.

He made this known while presenting a formal letter containing strategic security recommendations to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, on behalf of the governor.

According to Usman, while the national leadership of the NLC declared a nationwide protest over insecurity concerns, Kebbi stands out positively due to the responsive actions of the state government.

He highlighted the swift rescue of abducted students in the state as a landmark security achievement, noting that the incident was resolved within a short period, thanks to decisive leadership and partnership with the Federal Government.

“Wherever we go, we proudly say Kebbi State remains the only state where kidnapped students were successfully rescued and reunited with their families in record time,” he stated.

He further disclosed that the Kebbi NLC has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Idris due to his commitment, support to security agencies, and continued investment in logistics and welfare to enhance their operational efficiency.

Receiving the letter, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, appreciated the NLC for acknowledging the government’s efforts. He assured that the recognition would further spur the administration to strengthen ongoing security initiatives and ensure a safer environment for all residents.

The Bureau News will continue to monitor developments in Kebbi State and across Nigeria as security remains a major national priority.
