Governor Idris also visited two injured security operatives currently receiving treatment at the facility.

“This is a great loss not only to the security agencies but to the entire people of Kebbi State,” he said.

The attack occurred when security personnel responded to intelligence reports of an impending bandit attack on a community in the area.

However, the operatives were reportedly lured into a deadly ambush by the criminals.

The casualties included nine soldiers, one Mobile Police (MOPOL) officer, and a civilian.

He also promised to replace the destroyed military vehicle and urged security operatives not to be discouraged.

“They must remain resolute and committed to their duty of protecting lives and property,” he added.
