The Kebbi State Commissioner for Health, Alhaji Samaila Yakubu Augie, has praised health workers and volunteers distributing free insecticide-treated mosquito nets across the state. He described their work as dedicated and commendable.

The Commissioner called the initiative a major step forward. According to him, malaria remains one of the biggest public health threats in Kebbi State — especially for children and pregnant women.
He expressed confidence that officials will reach every household. He added that the exercise will be completed within the scheduled period.

Residents Urged to Collect and Use the Nets
Alhaji Yakubu Augie called on Kebbi residents to cooperate with distribution officials. He urged them to collect the nets and use them correctly at home.
Doing so, he said, is key to cutting the spread of malaria across the state.
The Bureau News reports that over three million insecticide-treated mosquito nets will be distributed across Kebbi State as part of the government’s public health drive.
