The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has said the ongoing political rift between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, is not the concern of the ruling party.
Yilwatda stated that Wike remains a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stressing that any internal disputes involving the former Rivers State governor fall outside the jurisdiction of the APC.
He made the remarks on Tuesday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today program, where he addressed questions surrounding the political tensions in Rivers State and their potential impact on the APC.
According to Yilwatda, the party has no reason to interfere in what he described as a PDP affair.
The disagreement between Wike and Fubara has continued to generate debate within Nigeria’s political space, with observers closely watching its implications for governance and party politics in Rivers State.
