Oyo Governor Appoints New SSG, Redeploys Officials in Cabinet Reshuffle

Nigeria News Today: The Oyo State Government has announced a cabinet reshuffle involving the appointment of a new Secretary to the State Government (SSG), redeployment of senior officials, and nomination of a commissioner-designate.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
According to the statement, Olanike Kudirat Adeyemo has been relieved of her duties as Secretary to the State Government with immediate effect.
The governor subsequently approved the appointment of Professor Musibau Adetunji Babatunde as the new Secretary to the State Government.
In addition, Temilolu Seun Ashamu, a former Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
The statement further disclosed that Ademola Aderinto, who previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Public Works, has been named Commissioner-designate and is expected to appear before the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
Also affected by the reshuffle is Abiodun Adedoja, an honourable member, who has been appointed as Special Adviser on Energy Security.
Kolawole Elijah Akanmu was also named Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning.
Olanrewaju noted that the changes reflect the governor’s commitment to strengthening governance structures and improving service delivery across Oyo State.
“These changes are part of the governor’s continued commitment to ensuring efficient service delivery and effective governance in Oyo State,” the statement concluded.
