The Idris HK Foundation has appointed two new teachers to Ofoji Community Secondary School, Emewe-Opada, in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, as part of efforts to improve the quality of education in the community.
Mr. Usman Caleb has been appointed as a mathematics teacher, while Mrs. Amina Drisu will serve as an English teacher. Both appointments take immediate effect, with the educators placed on the Foundation’s payroll.
The appointments fulfill a commitment made by the Chairman of the Idris HK Foundation, Alhaji Idris Hussain Kashim, during the commissioning of the Emewe-Opada Erosion Control Project.
Speaking on the development, Kashim congratulated the appointees and urged them to demonstrate dedication and professionalism in their new roles. He emphasized the critical importance of mathematics and English in students’ academic success and overall development.
He also called on the school’s management, staff, and students to support the new teachers as they work to enhance learning outcomes and contribute to the institution’s growth.
The Foundation said the move underscores its continued commitment to supporting education and community development initiatives across the area.
