Lokoja, Kogi State – In an exclusive interview with The Bureau News, Hon. Honorius Arome has appealed to the people of Kogi State to sustain their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during the interview monitored as part of Nigeria News Today, Hon. Arome said ongoing infrastructural projects and economic reforms at both federal and state levels demonstrate that the current leadership deserves continuity.
The Bureau News: Why 2027 Support Matters
According to him, road construction projects across Kogi State are visible proof of governance in action.
“From major federal highways to strategic state roads, Kogites can see that development is not theoretical. The impact is practical and measurable,” he said.
He further highlighted the prompt payment of salaries under Governor Ododo’s administration, noting that financial discipline has restored confidence among civil servants.
“Regular salary payments strengthen families and boost local economies. This consistency is not accidental; it reflects responsible leadership,” he added.

Hon. Arome also referenced improvements in macroeconomic indicators under President Tinubu, including the recent appreciation of the Naira against the Dollar and increased investor confidence.
He pointed to the Federal Government’s student loan initiative as a landmark policy expanding access to higher education for Nigerian youths.
“Many students who once struggled with tuition now have structured financial support. That is transformative,” he stated.
On food prices, he observed that market data in several parts of the state indicate gradual stabilization and reductions compared to peak inflation periods.
Kogi State News: Call for Unity Within APC
Hon. Arome emphasized party unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC), urging stakeholders to consolidate gains rather than fragment the political structure.
“2027 should be about consolidating progress. The APC must remain united and focused on delivering measurable outcomes,” he said.
Political analysts who spoke to The Bureau News noted that early mobilization efforts may shape grassroots momentum ahead of the next election cycle.
As political conversations intensify nationwide, this development remains a key highlight in Nigeria News Today and ongoing Kogi State News updates.
