“The Kebbi State Government is relieved to confirm that Hon. Zero Tolerance for Insecurity

The statement reaffirmed that the government will continue to partner with security agencies to tackle banditry and other crimes across the state. It emphasized that no stone will be left unturned to ensure the safety of lives and property in Kebbi.

Governor Nasir Idris and his administration, the statement added, remain resolute in implementing policies aimed at strengthening law enforcement, supporting rural communities, and reinforcing the state’s early-warning security network.

Government Calls for Vigilance

The Kebbi Government called on residents to remain alert and continue supporting security agencies by promptly reporting suspicious movements to nearby authorities. It also urged citizens to unite in safeguarding peace, harmony, and progress across the state.

The Bureau News reports that the safe rescue of the Deputy Speaker follows heightened anti-kidnapping operations by joint task forces in Kebbi and neighbouring north-western states. The incident underscores the ongoing challenges of insecurity in border regions and the state’s proactive response under the current administration.
