The All Progressives Congress (APC) has lauded Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah for his bold decision to join the ruling party, calling it a strategic move that will accelerate development and enhance governance in the state. In a statement from National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka, the APC expressed confidence that Mbah’s defection will bolster ongoing reforms and align Enugu with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

During his official declaration, Governor Mbah reaffirmed his commitment to advancing Enugu’s interests, believing that the APC platform provides better opportunities for collaboration and development. The APC welcomed him and other new members, promising full support and integration into the party.

The statement highlighted Mbah’s impressive track record, including recognition for innovation in public service. His alignment with the APC is seen as a repositioning of Enugu as a key participant in the national economic transformation, ultimately benefiting the people of the state and the broader South-East region.
