Kebbi Stakeholders Declare Support for Gov Idris at Eid-el-Fitr – The Bureau News | Nigeria News Today

The Bureau News reports that stakeholders across Kebbi State have reaffirmed their support for Governor Nasir Idris during the Eid-el-Fitr Sallah courtesy visit.
The endorsement came from a broad coalition of traditional rulers, political leaders, and community stakeholders who commended the governor’s performance in office.

The Emir of Argungu and Vice Chairman of the Kebbi State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Samaila Muhammad Mera, praised the administration’s achievements in infrastructure, education, agriculture, and the promotion of peaceful coexistence.
Similarly, stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by the State Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kana Zuru, reiterated their unanimous endorsement of Governor Idris for a second term.
They cited his execution of socio-economic projects and results-driven empowerment programmes as key reasons for their continued support.
Groups Commend Government Policies
Various groups, including trade unions, women and youth organisations, persons with disabilities, as well as Islamic and Christian religious leaders, also expressed appreciation for the governor’s efforts.
Agribusiness associations and other stakeholders acknowledged initiatives such as the provision of free farming inputs, payment of inherited debts on scholarships, pensions and gratuities, and the regular payment of salaries.
They also highlighted the administration’s economic empowerment programmes, describing them as impactful and inclusive.
Deputy Governor Appreciates Support
Governor Idris, who was represented by his deputy, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, expressed satisfaction with the level of support and cooperation from the people of the state.
He noted that the backing of stakeholders has contributed significantly to the successes recorded by the administration.
The deputy governor reaffirmed the government’s commitment to sustaining development efforts and improving the welfare of citizens.
The Bureau News reports that the Eid-el-Fitr visit served as a platform to strengthen collaboration between the government and key stakeholders, reinforcing the administration’s development agenda for Kebbi State.
