The former governorship candidate revealed that he had been working behind the scenes with key political figures, including Abubakar Malami, for over a year before formally joining the party.
“I have been playing behind the scenes with Malami for over one year before I formally joined the ADC rescue movement to salvage our state and Nigeria,” he added.
He expressed confidence that the ADC has the potential to address insecurity, revive key sectors of the economy, and drive sustainable socio-economic growth across the country.
Call for Opposition Unity
General Bande also called on members of opposition parties to put aside personal ambitions and unite for a common goal.
He urged political stakeholders from the PDP, PRP, ADC, and SDP to collaborate and form a strong coalition capable of challenging the ruling party at all levels.
The Bureau News gathered that his defection is part of a broader wave of political realignments ahead of future electoral contests in Nigeria.
