Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has been praised as a compassionate and fair-minded leader, committed to justice in governance regardless of political allegiance.
The commendation came from the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, during a meeting with members of the Forum of Senior Special Assistants (SSAs), Special Assistants (SAs), and Personal Assistants (PAs) who served under the previous administration.
Waiya emphasized that Governor Yusuf’s administration is not driven by partisanship but by principles of equity, fairness, and faith.
“As a man of compassion and conscience, Governor Yusuf ensured the payment of severance benefits to former Councillors under the Ganduje administration without considering their political background,” the Commissioner stated.
He assured the Forum members that their legitimate entitlements would be addressed, not as a reward for defection or political maneuvering, but purely on merit and justice.
Earlier, Chairman of the SSA, SA, and PA Forum, Alhaji Gidado Ahmad Satatima, formally requested the governor’s intervention in settling their severance benefits—similar to what had been done for the former Councillors.
Alhaji Gidado commended Governor Yusuf for showing inclusiveness and goodwill that surpassed the administration they previously served under, which allegedly withheld their benefits except for a few selectively favoured aides.
“Governor Abba Yusuf has proven to be a unifying leader, placing the welfare of all citizens above political divides,” he added.
Governor Yusuf’s administration continues to receive accolades for fostering unity and upholding justice in Kano State.
