As Muslims across Nigeria celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, has called on citizens to offer consistent prayers for sustainable peace and unity in the country.

In his Sallah message to the people of Kebbi State, Governor Idris extended heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim Ummah, describing prayer as a vital instrument for attaining meaningful development and social harmony.

“Prayer is the path to growth and peace in any society. I urge all Nigerians to pray — individually and collectively — for enduring peace and stability in our dear country,” he said.

Call for Reconciliation and Brotherhood

Governor Idris encouraged Muslims to use the Eid celebration not only for merrymaking but also to mend broken relationships and promote social cohesion.

He emphasized the importance of unity beyond ethnic, religious, or political affiliations, urging residents to be their brother’s keepers.

“Together, with unity and love, we can achieve lasting peace and ensure sustainable development in Kebbi and beyond,” he added.

Support for Developmental Policies

The governor also appealed for the support and cooperation of the people in the implementation of his administration’s development-oriented policies and programmes, promising that all initiatives are designed for the greater good of the state.

He concluded by wishing all Muslims a joyful and safe Eid celebration, while praying for Allah’s blessings on the state and the nation at large.
