The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Anambra, Chief Jude Ezenwafor who was shot on Friday night in Abuja has reportedly passed away.
Confirming the sad incident, former senator and APC Chieftain, Shehu Sani said he received the tragic news.
“It’s sad, tragic and unfortunate to receive the news of the demise of Anambra PDP Governorship candidate Jude Ezenwafor after reports of being shot in Abuja.” Shehu Sani wrote on his X page.

He told journalists early Saturday morning that he suffered a near death situation when gunmen accosted him around Wuse 2 on Friday night.
Ezenwafor confirmed that he was on his way home after an appointment when the incident happened.
GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission has announced that the 2025 Anambra State Governorship election will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
The PDP in May submitted the names of Mr Ezenwafor as its governorship flagbearer and Okeke Chukwudi as his running mate for the gubernatorial poll.
