In a strategic move to reposition the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, the party has announced the dissolution of all local government and ward executives. This decision was made by the chairman of the caretaker committee, Dr. Ben Nwoye, during a stakeholder meeting held at the Golden Royal Hotel in Enugu.

Nwoye stated that this action aligns with directives from the National Working Committee to reorganize the party within the state. He emphasized the importance of unity within the party, asserting that no individual holds more significance than the collective.

The caretaker chairman highlighted that investigations revealed multiple claims to chairmanship positions at the ward and local government levels. He encouraged party members to embrace a new digital approach, including e-registration, which will be launched by the National Chairman in Owerri, Imo State.

Fidelia Njeze, a member of the caretaker committee and former Minister of Aviation, reinforced the call for unity among members, urging inclusivity to strengthen the party further.

The stakeholders expressed their unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu and committed to his re-election in 2027. They also backed Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah’s potential membership in the APC and commended the National Working Committee for the leadership changes in the state.
