Holiday Rock Cookies
3/4 C brown sugar ½ teasp cinnamon
¼ lb butter ½ teasp soda
1 Large egg ¼ teasp salt
1 ¼ C flour

2 C chopped brazil nuts
2 C chopped almonds
2 C chopped walnuts

½ lb candied cherries, chopped
1 lb chopped pitted dates
½ lb candied pineapple, chopped
Dredge candied fruit in flour to keep it from sticking
together

Stir together dry ingredients and chopped nuts.
In large bowl:
Cream together butter and sugar and then mix in egg
Gradually stir in flour nut mixture until thoroughly mixed
Then chill dough.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
Yield 10 dozen cookies.

Makes a great gift, or keep on hand for your holiday guests.
