🇳🇬 Kebbi Youth to Play Key Role at Upcoming NYCN National Confab

Birnin Kebbi, Nigeria — June 18, 2025 | The Bureau News

The Kebbi State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has announced its full preparedness to participate actively in the forthcoming National Youth Confab, pledging to contribute meaningfully and make Kebbi proud.

Speaking to The Bureau in a phone interview, Engineer Ahmed Abubakar Khalifa, a key official of the council, revealed that capable young minds from various sectors have been selected to represent the state at the high-level gathering.

“Our youths will not be passive attendees warming chairs at the confab. We have deployed experts and professionals—gurus in their fields—to contribute, learn, and leave a positive mark in this apex youth assembly,” Khalifa stated.

He urged Kebbi’s delegates to remain disciplined, uphold moral integrity, and respect the confab’s code of conduct, reminding them that they are ambassadors of Kebbi State.

“Youth remain the engine of any successful government. If we are carried along from the grassroots to the top, we can harness our God-given talents to drive national development,” he added.

Khalifa also praised Governor Dr. Nasir Idris for giving youth inclusion a priority in his administration.

“We are deeply grateful to Governor Nasir Idris for recognising NYCN members and giving us fair representation. His support is a validation of our relevance and a boost to youth participation in governance,” he said.

The upcoming youth confab is expected to attract youth leaders from across the country, offering a platform for policy input, innovation, and social exchange among Nigeria’s next generation of change-makers.
